Creating the branding for High Lights required keeping two core audiences in mind- the event participants (vendors and educators) and the event attendees. The event participants range from indie makeup companies to wig industry pioneers. The event attendees are primarily wig and makeup professionals seeking further education and to learn about new products. I worked to create a brand that has a wide appeal within the beauty industry.
The logo inspiration was old school neon sign you might see outside of a Miami night club. During the day the event features educational events and at night it turns into a club themed networking event. This logo fit both functions well.
The color palette is a balance between rich, luxurious colors and fun, bright colors.
